Day Two - Getting this show on the road!
Today Cushla, Rory and I have been looking at the next steps in our Year 7&8 Church Strand Programme. We have recorded our lessons, created our quizzes, quizlets and WSQ sheets and produced our video's explaining why this is an exciting programme for our Canterbury teachers to implement. This morning we analyzed John Hattie's "Politics of Distraction" document which looks at educational policy and the current pitfalls. We have based our programme around developing deeper learning of the Catholic faith and providing students with an authentic audience for their learning. Tomorrow we look are looking forward to creating learning tasks that teachers may use or find helpful in delivering this programme.
